Manchester United rocked by huge double blow ahead of Newcastle United clash

Manchester United will be missing Casemiro and Alejandro Garnacho for their crucial Premier League top-four encounter against Newcastle United next month.

On Sunday, Casemiro was issued a straight red card for violent behavior during the first half of the Red Devils’ goalless draw at home against bottom-of-the-table Southampton.

Erik ten Hag expressed his displeasure with the decision but chose not to appeal, meaning the Brazilian will serve a four-match punishment for his second red card in three Premier League games.

After the two-week international break, the midfielder will miss Sunday’s match against Fulham, as well as matches against Newcastle, Brentford, and Everton.

Man United’s woes were exacerbated on Tuesday when it was revealed that Garnacho will be out for several weeks owing to an ankle injury.

The Argentine suffered a ligament injury as a result of a challenge from Kyle Walker-Peters, which unfortunately resulted in racist insults directed towards the Saints full-back on social media.
