The Gunners are now top of the Premier League standings following a surprisingly good start, and they lead last season’s champions Manchester City by five points.

Ronaldo confesses he enjoys the way Arsenal plays and admires their manager Mikel Arteta, so he told celebrity Gooner Piers Morgan that he’d be glad for the north London giants to win the title if his own team fails to do so.

“I enjoy the group. The coach appeals to me. I believe they have a strong team. And if Manchester United does not win the Premier League, I will be satisfied if Arsenal does,” Ronaldo told Piers Uncensored.

Arsenal fans would be pleasantly delighted to hear this from Ronaldo, who may have just been courteous to Piers Morgan, though it’s also true that Arteta’s team is hard not to adore right now.

United doesn’t appear to be in the title race right now, therefore it makes logical that a Red Devils player would choose Arsenal over Man City as winners.
