WHAT WILL BE HAPPENING AT MANCHESTER UNITED THIS WEEK?
This week, Manchester United has another jam-packed schedule, with all of our teams playing at least once, including a crucial local derby.
This month’s games are coming thick and fast, especially for the men’s first team, who will now play twice a week for the rest of the month, beginning with a trip to Burnley on Tuesday and a visit from Southampton on Saturday.
In other news, the Under-18s have a double header on the horizon, with an FA Youth Cup fifth-round encounter against Everton at Old Trafford on Wednesday, followed by an Under-18 Premier League Cup match against Chelsea over the weekend, when the Under-23s also meet the Blues in Premier League 2.
The seven-day period concludes with United Women travelling to City for the first of two back-to-back derbies for Marc Skinner’s side.

MONDAY

The interim manager’s news conference will be available to watch from 14:00 GMT on ManUtd.com, our App, and MUTV, with Ralf Rangnick delivering his thoughts ahead of our encounter with Burnley.
The latest episode of the UTD Podcast will be released later in the day. It will first be available via the United App, before being made available on other podcast streaming platforms on Tuesday. It features our former forward Terry Gibson.
On Monday, it will be the 40th anniversary of George Best’s double hat-trick against Northampton Town, where he scored six times in an 8-2 victory against the Cobblers in 1970.
TUESDAY
The Reds go to Turf Moor to face Sean Dyche’s Burnley team in what is expected to be a full round of Premier League midweek fixtures. They will be trying to make it three wins in a row in the division.
The match will be shown live on BT Sport in the UK at 20:00 GMT on Tuesday night. As usual, matchday coverage will be available on all of our official channels, with team news first breaking in our app at 19:00.
On Tuesday, United Women’s forward Alessia Russo turns 23, while Busby Babes captain Roger Byrne was born on the same day in 1929.
WEDNESDAY
On Wednesday, the Under-18s will get a chance to shine at the Theatre of Dreams when they compete for a place in the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals. Everton stands in the way of Travis Binnion’s young Reds, with a kick-off time of 19:00 GMT.
Wednesday will also mark the one-year anniversary of the death of our former midfielder Liam Miller, who died in 2018 at the age of 36.
THURSDAY
On Thursday, fans who missed the Under-18s cup tie will be able to watch highlights on ManUtd.com, our App, and MUTV.
FRIDAY
On Friday, Ralf Rangnick will hold a news conference in front of the media to discuss our home match against Southampton. His press conference will be broadcast live on all of our official channels.
SATURDAY
The Saints will return to Old Trafford on Saturday for a midday kick-off, marking their first visit since our Premier League-record-tying 9-0 win last season. The match begins at 12:30 GMT and will be broadcast live in the United Kingdom on BT Sport.
In the meantime, both the Under-23s and Under-18s face Chelsea on Saturday, with the former facing the Blues in Premier League 2 at Leigh Sports Village at 12:00 GMT and the latter travelling away in the U18 Premier League Cup at 11:00 GMT.
Saturday is not just a full day of fixtures, but it is also a significant occasion in the club’s history: it is the anniversary of Sir Matt Busby’s appointment as manager in 1945.
SUNDAY
The Women’s Super League derby between Manchester United and Manchester City takes place at their Academy Stadium, and it’s one of the most exciting games of the week. The two sides will meet again in the FA Cup a week later, but this encounter is essential in the WSL as the Reds look to qualify for the Champions League. The match will be broadcast live on the BBC in the United Kingdom on Sunday at 12:30 GMT.
Meanwhile, three years after his death, our former youth coach Eric Harrison will no doubt be remembered by those associated with the club on Sunday.
