Rangnick Responds to Manchester United’s Next Manager and Discusses Pochettino
Ralf Rangnick was asked about Mauricio Pochettino’s possible transfer to Manchester United during his pre-Middlesbrough press conference on Thursday.
“I have no idea,” the German replied. Right now, my whole attention is on training the group, as we have games in three separate competitions coming up.
“I couldn’t give you a decent explanation since I’m focused on the next several games, weeks, and months.”
Pochettino of Paris Saint-Germain and Erik Ten Hag of Ajax are the frontrunners to take over at Old Trafford, according to reports earlier this week.
After shifting into a two-year consulting post at the end of the 2021-22 season, Rangnick will be involved in the selection of the new permanent boss.
