Man United’s search for a permanent manager to succeed Ralf Rangnick has reportedly intensified.
Rangnick was hired to the position on an interim basis in December 2021, replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who had been fired at the time.
The German, though, is scheduled to leave the club at the end of the season to take on a consultancy role.

According to the Daily Mail, United’s board of directors has ‘begun the process of hiring a new permanent manager,’ with a shortlist of applicants deemed perfect for the post now ‘finalised.’
According to the publication, Mauricio Pochettino of Paris Saint-Germain and Erik ten Hag of Ajax are among the top candidates selected for the role.
Pochettino, on the other hand, is thought to have an advantage over Ten Hag due to his Premier League experience as manager of Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton.
With the French giants solidly in the Champions League, the Argentine is presently hunting silverware with PSG. The same can be said of Ten Hag, who led Ajax to the Champions League quarterfinals, where they will meet Benfica in the round of 16.
