Sancho, 21, was a high-priced summer signing for the Red Devils. United paid over £76 million to Borussia Dortmund for the winger. However, he struggled to break into the first squad and spent much of his time on the bench.
Questions were raised regarding his price tag and whether the Manchester United club overpaid for the England international. However, he has finally established his footing and begun to make the items.
In 2021-2022, Sancho made 14 stars out of 21 Premier League matches. And he delivered a magnificent performance as United defeated Leeds 4-2 on Sunday.
The Londoner, who has already been capped 23 times by England, has been regarded as a future superstar of the game. Ferdinand is a big admirer and believes that the absence of a handful of key players has benefited.
“For someone like Sancho, who has been looking for some form and consistency, the fact that Mason Greenwood is no longer available and Martial is no longer accessible,” he explained on the Vibe With Five Podcast.
“There isn’t a significant threat that I’m not going to play next week or that he’s going to play someone else.”
“He may have been told behind closed doors, and I would say that he most likely has been told, you’re going to play now, and you’re going to start every game.”

It’s par for the course for Sancho to struggle.
Sancho was a standout for Dortmund, scoring 50 goals in 137 appearances across all competitions. Many of his objectives came when he was still a teenager, and he still has the best years of his career ahead of him.
He is hardly the only player who has battled with the Premier League’s pace and power. And Ferdinand believed there would never be a smooth transition back to English football.
“Everyone’s adaptation to this league is unique. You used to watch German football, especially when he was younger (at Dortmund). “The transition from when he had to respond to when his side lost the ball and possibly the intensity is nowhere near what it is now,” he added.
“The toughness of the game in the Premier League is a notch or two higher than in Germany.” You’re going to need some time.
