It’s intriguing to read what people are saying about Manchester United in Germany, especially since our temporary manager, Ralf Rangnick, is regarded as a visionary footballer in his native country.
Rangnick joined in December to take over as interim manager for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer until the end of the season. He is then likely to go upstairs into a consulting post, presumably to advise the club and the next manager in the future.
Rangnick presently manages Manchester United, although in Germany, he is regarded as a club builder, more suited to functioning as a director as a result of his great work for the Red Bull football business.
Former Germany international Stefen Effenberg, on the other hand, did not seem startled by United’s recent troubles on the field. Following a string of poor results, he has opted to defend his compatriot by claiming that the job at Old Trafford is not simple.
Effenberg also believes that Cristiano Ronaldo is posing a dilemma for Rangnick, owing to the fact that he is past his prime but is regarded as untouchable by fans.
“First and foremost, the fact that a global club with such a strong financial position has not won a significant prize in years cannot be a coincidence,” Effenberg told Sport Buzzer.
“Mistakes have been made, and incorrect decisions have been made.”
“Despite all of the issues and fierce competition, the club’s and fans’ self-image still includes reaching the final four of the Champions League and finishing in the top four of the league.”
“This is not an easy task for Rangnick, who is dealing with a slew of issues.
