The English forward has fallen out of favor with interim manager Ralf Rangnick and has lately been dropped from Gareth Southgate’s England side.
Struggling to find consistency, the 24-year-old, whose contract at United expires in 2023, has scored just five goals in as many months.
This summer appears to be a watershed moment in the winger’s career, as he appears to be under great strain and devoid of confidence.
Following a disappointing couple of seasons for the number ten, and reports that he is ‘evaluating his future’ (Fabrizio Romano), Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have been extensively connected with a shock move (Daily Mirror).
Although the Gunners’ interest has not yet been backed up by an official offer, former midfielder Luke Chadwick believes a deal will never happen.
Speaking exclusively to CaughtOffside regarding the possibility of Rashford leaving Manchester United this summer, the ex-Red Devil stated, “It is something that obviously you don’t want to hear.”
“I don’t think it’ll happen. Rashford is certainly a Manchester United icon for what he’s done, both on and off the field, but for whatever reason, it hasn’t really clicked for him this season.
“I don’t think Rashford will leave United because of what he is, but something has to give somewhere.”
