We expect the list to grow in the next days, weeks, and months, so let’s see who emerges as the most realistic in the summer or, if we’re lucky, January.

Amadou Haidara is the first player to be connected with a move to Manchester United since Rangnick’s hiring, which was announced on Monday morning after a week of nonstop speculation following the resignation of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United are willing to meet the £33 million release clause in the Mali international’s contract, according to the Mirror, as cited by The Independent. United is reportedly interested in making a move during the January transfer window, according to the report.

We don’t know what kind of system Rangnick will use with his United players, but we can expect a lot more pressing.

The German will have a significant impact on how the club moves forward in the coming years, so getting the ball moving in January to fix certain difficulties in the short term to aid the future manager would be a good idea.

Of course, there is a risk associated with this. What if the new manager isn’t impressed with any of the new additions? We’ll be trapped with more players who will be difficult to move on at a later stage if he wants his own signings.

Rangnick oversaw Haidara’s transfer from Red Bull Salzburg to RB Leipzig in January 2019, and it has now been rumoured that he wants to bring him to Manchester as part of his new project.

“I enjoy Manchester United very much and watch as many games as possible,” Haidara told German publication Bild in 2019, according to Sport Witness. “I’d like to play there someday.”

In January, it will be intriguing to watch who United tries to dump.
