The search for the next Manchester United manager has been hotly anticipated since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was ousted in November of last year, and now the board may be getting things started ahead of their hopes to name a permanent manager this summer.

John Murtough, the club’s football director, has finally provided an update on the search for the next manager to take over at Old Trafford.
Murtough just stated that a “thorough procedure” is already underway in a teaser statement that will undoubtedly delight supporters.
The director went on to state that they want to find someone who can “challenge for those domestic and European championships.”

There is little doubt that the fans have been clamoring for change, with Solksjaer being the club’s fourth permanent manager to be fired since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in the summer of 2013.
