Manchester United signed Amad Diallo from Atalanta for £37.2 million; the winger has made nine Premier League appearances and scored one goal this season; Rangers are expected to complete the transaction within the next 24 hours.

The rangers are close to signing Manchester United winger Amad Diallo on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old joined United from Atalanta in a deal worth roughly £37.2 million last year, but he has only made nine appearances in all competitions this season.

United believes that this move will benefit Diallo’s development, and Diallo is thought to be a long-term strategy for the Premier League team.

Rangers are set to finalize Diallo’s transfer on Thursday, with the Scottish Premiership club looking to replace the injured Ianis Hagi as soon as possible.

The Romanian international suffered a knee injury in his team’s 4-0 win over Stirling Albion and had surgery in London.

Who exactly is Amad Diallo?

Diallo was born in the Ivory Coast and moved to Italy when he was 10 years old, joining Atalanta in 2015.

At 17 years and 109 days old, the teenager made his debut for Atalanta in 2019, becoming the club’s youngest player to score in his Serie A debut in a 7-1 rout of Udinese.

As a result, he traveled to Lisbon with the Atalanta squad for their Champions League quarter-final loss to Paris Saint-Germain.

In training, the player impressed Papu Gomez so much that he was compared to a certain Lionel Messi.

“There are defenders on the first team who can’t always stop him. We had to kick him to halt him in training! He mimics Messi’s style of play “Before Diallo moved to United, Atalanta’s captain remarked this.
