The Germany international’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires in the summer, and the club is prohibited to buy or sell players due to recent sanctions. Juventus is thought to have held conversations with the centre-back, with United, Real Madrid, and PSG also interested.

Rudiger has established himself as a key member of Chelsea’s backline, and he might be one of three defenders to leave this summer, alongside Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen. United’s defensive flaws have been exposed this season after a series of high-profile gaffes, with captain Harry Maguire receiving the brunt of the blame.

Bayern Munich has pulled out of the competition to sign the defender, according to German journalist Patrick Berger. Chelsea are still confident of extending Rudiger’s time at the European champions, and their efforts might be re-ignited if the sanctions are eased as a result of the arrival of a new owner.

Inter Milan is interested in Edinson Cavani in the meanwhile. The Serie A champions are reportedly trying to strengthen their attack and hope to recruit the Uruguayan, according to Calciomercato (via Sport Witness).

Prior to joining PSG, Cavani played in the Italian top flight with Napoli and Palermo. According to Calciomercato, Simone Inzaghi wants to add three strikers to his squad this summer.
