Prior to the international break, the England international scored a brace in Roma’s 3-0 win over city rivals Lazio, bringing his total to 23 goals in all competitions for Jose Mourinho’s club in his first season in the Italian capital. United were rumored to be interested in a transfer because of his hot streak.

According to initial reports, Abraham was given a £100 million price tag. However, Gazzetta dello Sport has already debunked these rumors, stating that Roma intends to keep him.

United are trying to bolster their attacking line this summer. Edinson Cavani is expected to leave Old Trafford when his contract expires, while Cristiano Ronaldo, if he stays, will be 38 by the end of next season.

Due to Roma’s alleged obstinacy, any interest from United will have to be focused elsewhere. Darwin Nunez of Benfica and Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund have been linked in recent weeks.

Jesse Lingard is one player who is expected to leave United this summer. In the summer, the United academy graduate’s contract will expire.

Lingard spent some time in Milan during the international break, where he hooked up with former Reds striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. As a result, Italian media reports claim that the 29-year-old is being considered as a possible addition to Stefano Pioli’s Milan squad.

Lingard is being considered as a possible replacement for Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi, according to PianetaMilan and Sempre Milan. This year, the Italian will turn 28, and the Serie A contenders are debating whether he is worth €35 million (£29 million).
