Manchester United is allegedly interested in signing Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian has had a productive season in Italy, scoring 18 goals. As a result, he has piqued the interest of several clubs, including Arsenal.

Erik ten Hag is expected to strengthen United’s attacking assets when he comes at Old Trafford, with Edinson Cavani leaving and Anthony Martial perhaps leaving as well. Osimhen, on the other hand, will not be inexpensive.

Napoli is demanding £93 million for its star player, who is under contract until 2025. However, it does not appear to have deterred United, with Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness) reporting that the club has already made an approach.

Meanwhile, according to De Telegraaf journalist Mike Verweij, Ten Hag will be allocated £120 million to spend this summer (as per the Express). Jurrien Timmer, Antony, and Frenkie de Jong are all thought to be among his goals, though United may be unable to finance all of them.

The job of gaining their services will be complicated by Liverpool’s interest in Antony and Barcelona’s uncertainty about allowing De Jong to depart. They value the midfielder at about £70 million, which would be a significant portion of Ten Hag’s budget.
