Manchester United give update on next manager process after Erik ten Hag interview

Manchester United’s next permanent manager, according to Ralf Rangnick, has been interviewed by more than one candidate.

Last week, United spoke with Ajax coach Erik ten Hag, and French media reported that the club had also spoken with Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, who has long wanted to oversee United.

Julen Lopetegui of Sevilla has ruled himself out of contention this week, while Luis Enrique of Spain is an unrealistic choice because he is unlikely to leave the national team before the World Cup begins in November.
