Emmanuel Petit has encouraged Arsenal to raid Premier League rivals Brihton for two of their best midfielders.

The World Cup is over – the Premier League is about to re-start and the January transfer window is just around the corner – meaning that Mikel Arteta will be able to add to his squad.

There has already been alot of stars linked with a possible move to the Emirates – with many believing that Youri Tielemans will be a man that makes the move to London.

However – Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo are two stars that are making real names for themselves in the Premier League and Emmanuel Petit has told Arsenal to forget about Tielemans and go for the Brighton duo instead

‘If we’re talking about midfielders for Arsenal, I know the links are there with Tielemans at Leicester, who I think is a good player but I’m not sure he is what Arsenal needs Petit told Mega Casino.

‘I’m a big fan of two players from Brighton: Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo.

‘Mac Allister, I said this last season before he won the World Cup, he is a guy that does everything in the midfield. He sets the tempo, carries the ball. Technically, he is very good. He scores goals.

‘The guy that sits next to him at Brighton, Caicedo, he is excellent. If Arsenal could take both of those players, two guys who know each other, they would fit perfectly at the club.

‘They would do everything that Arteta wants in midfield. Both of them are young and could form a partnership for years.

‘Mac Allister has just won the World Cup. He won the Copa America last year. In terms of his experience and maturity, he played almost every single game at the World Cup and he played really well.

He is at Brighton! What are Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City doing? Come on! He plays brilliant football.’

Vlahovic boost?

The agent of Dusan Vlahovic has potentially opened the door for Arsenal to try and get a transfer deal done in January4

Mikel Arteta made some brilliant signings during the course of the summer transfer window and has really signed players that have turned this ArsenalFC side into real title contenders

They have been one of the most exciting and entertaining sides to watch in the Premier League this season and as they keep on picking up win after win – there is a growing feeling that Arteta is building something special

However – Arteta knows that he will need to keep adding players to the side that will keep on improving the side and the Gunners remain interested in Vlahovic – with Arteta telling the hierarchy to make a move for the 22-year-old, according to recent reports on the GiveMeSport website

Now – according to a report from Corriere dello Sport, Vlahović’s agent is well aware of the interest in the player from top European clubs, including Arsenal, stating that a transfer in January is not beyond the realms of possibility.

Juventus are adamant on keeping one of their biggest assets. However, the Bianconeri would be willing to sell the Serbian striker if an offer of at least £80 million arrives.

Arsenal are probably the team that are the most interested in signing the 22-year-old. but it remains to be seen if they will spend such a huge amount.

Martinelli to sign?

It has been claimed that Gabriel Martinelli will agree a massive £200,000-a-week contract to stay at the Arsenal

Martinelli is regarded as one of the finest talents in world football and is a lad that Arsenal have big hopes for over the next couple of seasons.

His performances this season led to him being called up to that Brazil side at the World Cup – and despite not getting alot of minutes – he impressed while he was on the pitch

Now – As per Daily Mail, Martinelli will renew with the Gunners in a deal which will see him go from earning £70,000 per week to £200,000 per week.

With his contract expiring in 2024, there were worries he may leave, which are all but quelled now.

Former Brazil international Ramires recently urged Arsenal to do everything it takes to keep him in north London.

Gabriel Martinelli is a terrific player, he’s been absolutely tremendous for Arsenal this season, and it’s great to see a young Brazilian coming through and showing so much maturity,’ said Ramires, speaking exclusively to Ladbrokes.

‘It’s inevitable that huge clubs like Real Madrid and Juventus will come knocking on the door.

‘At Arsenal, he is playing for a huge club with lots of ambition, but of course, there’s always going to be another level.

‘I’d say it’s down to Martinelli and what he wants, you know, it’s natural for players like him to think about teams such as Real Madrid, the size and stature of that club, and how it was maybe a childhood dream to play for them.

‘I personally believe that Martinelli still has another level within himself that he’s yet to find, because he’s still so young, and he’s developing.

‘He’s improving with every single game, and if Arsenal can keep hold of him, they have a top, top player who can bring so much happiness to the fans in the shape of trophies.

‘Arsenal have to do everything within their power to keep Gabriel Martinelli.

‘There’s always going to be talk around him. even in Brazil, people are wondering where his next move is going to be.

‘Arsenal must do everything they can to keep hold of him, because he’s an amazing player and I’m confident there’s another level he can reach.‘
