In a thrilling 3-2 triumph at Old Trafford, the Portuguese superstar scored his first hat-trick since returning to the Red Devils last summer.

United has re-entered the top four, though Arsenal is only two points behind with four games remaining.

However, it has instilled great confidence in Ralf Rangnick’s team as they prepare to fight to the last end for fourth place.

They did not, however, do it in a straightforward manner, despite the fact that there was an opportunity for Ronaldo to retaliate against his critics following his goal drought.

“Tremendously thrilled with my first hat-trick since I returned back to Old Trafford!” the five-time Ballon d’Or winner wrote on Instagram.

“There’s nothing like getting back on the field and contributing goals and effort to the squad.”

“We’ve demonstrated once again that if we work hard and stick together as a team, we can beat any team on any given day.”

“For Man, there are no bounds. United!” Whatever the case may be! Devils, let’s go!”

And his performance earned widespread praise, with many other professional footballers in awe of the 37-year-old, who netted his 59th hat-trick in his career.

Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller was among many who responded, saying, “Big respect.”

Ronaldo’s awe-inspiring performance came just a week after he was said to have gone back to Portugal after missing the Manchester derby.

Rangnick, on the other hand, contradicts this assertion, claiming that he was hurt due to a hip ailment.

“We were just joking that maybe it makes sense to send him to Portugal for three days, then have him not train for two days, and then have him come back, because he performed at a comparable level in training on Thursday,” Rangnick added.

“Even though he hadn’t exercised in a week, I opted to play him today following that training session. Maybe that’s something we’ll have to do for the rest of the season.”

United, on the other hand, cannot rest on their laurels, as they face Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.

After Anthony Elanga’s late equalizer against their Spanish opponents at the Wanda Metropolitano, the Red Devils must now finish the job at Old Trafford.
