Gabby Agbonlahor believes Manchester United needs a major roster to revamp this summer and believes incoming manager Erik ten Hag will need to buy “15 new players” to get the team back on track.
The former Aston Villa striker thinks that Saturday’s dismal 4-0 loss to Brighton demonstrates that the players are “without passion” and that Ten Hag will be unable to rely on any of them in the future.
“A few weeks ago, I said Manchester United needed 15 new players, and I guess people laughed at me, but when you look at that performance, they need 15 new players,” Agbonlahor started on talkSPORT.
“Ten Hag will not look at any of those players on that squad and desire to play next season. They were unconcerned, with no desire to play for Manchester United “He continued.

Agbonlahor also slammed Raphael Varane, claiming that the Frenchman has been flying under the radar as one of United’s most disappointing performers in recent months.
“You can’t blame Pogba or Harry Maguire for [the Brighton defeat], so maybe players like Varane need to be called out because he’s been really awful this season, [along with] other players in that side,” Agbonlahor added.
The crushing defeat over the weekend effectively cemented United’s worst Premier League season in history.
Worse, the team will not be competing in the Champions League next season, which means Ten Hag will have to be creative if he wants to sign 15 new players this summer.
