Man United fourth signed ready to Join as club about to sign ‘another Eric Cantona’ before transfer window shuts

According to former Manchester United defender Paul Parker, if they can sign Adrien Rabiot, they will sign another Eric Cantona. After reaching an agreement with the Serie A giants, the Juventus player is likely to complete a smooth move to Old Trafford in the coming days. Despite the fact that the 27-year-old has previously experienced criticism, his signing has now been approved.

Manchester United is optimistic about acquiring Rabiot from Juventus.

They are said to have agreed on a sum of £15 million for the 27-year-old, who began his career at Manchester City before leaving in 2008.

United also wants to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona, and they believe the France international can be a significant player at Old Trafford.

With many fans opposing a transfer, it’s unclear whether the Paris Saint-Germain star can be the answer to the club’s midfield woes.

And Parker, speaking to Fut Fanatico, has now said that Rabiot, like Cantona, will need to be controlled well in order to produce his best.

“”At the moment, everyone is erecting a wall of hatred against him (Adrian Rabiot) because everyone is looking at his history,” he remarked.

“That is referred to as good management.

“Perhaps if he (Rabiot) is treated properly, you can get more.”

Parker does admit, however, that United is no longer the club it once was.

And he insists that this is having an effect on their slow transfer business, with only Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, and Lisandro Martinez arriving thus far.

“”You have to understand that Manchester United cannot go out and sign a player with outstanding stats right now,” he remarked.

Rabiot isn’t the only player United is interested in signing before the transfer window closes.

They are still interested in De Jong and are ‘optimistic’ about beating Chelsea to the Dutch international as they try to entice him away from Barcelona.

United are looking for a new forward, with links to Antony and Cody Gakpo.

They’ve been approached by Juventus and Barcelona for Alvaro Morata and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but have yet to express an interest in either player.

United would also like to sign a new right back, with Denzel Dumfries and Max Aarons both possible candidates.
