“He could leave this weekend”: Not Maguire or McTominay – Fabrizio Romano says £50m United star is up for sale

Anthony Martial was conspicuous by his absence, as he did not appear against RC Lens at Old Trafford or Athletic Bilbao in Dublin.

Despite the fact that the Frenchman is not injured, he was not named to the matchday roster for either match.

Fans were surprised since he is the only senior center forward in the squad other than currently injured new addition Rasmus Hojlund.

Fabrizio Romano, on the other hand, may have given an explanation today. In his essay, he claims that Manchester United are willing to let the France international go if an offer comes in.

“At the moment, Anthony Martial is staying at Manchester United,” he adds, “but I’d put him in the same category as Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire – if he gets an important offer, he could leave.”

But Romano is certain that nothing has been finalized, and that the door will remain open for Martial to join the squad this season:

“Otherwise, he’ll remain and join Erik Ten Hag’s rotation squad.” That’s how it feels around Martial right now.”

According to The Peoples Person, Anthony Martial is one of several strikers being considered by West Ham United.

They have a lengthy shortlist, so hoping for an offer at this time may be wishful thinking. If the Irons do make a bid, it will most likely come late in the window, after they have failed to land one of their priority targets.

Martial’s terrible fitness record and hefty salary will make it extremely tough for him to move on.

If the club is able to find a buyer, they would almost certainly want to recruit another striker on whom the team and manager can rely.
