The Sun previously reported on United’s desire to acquire the Japanese playmaker, and now Mundo Deportivo has substantiated this information, providing additional insights.

According to the Catalan media outlet, Manchester United is ready to make a substantial effort to sign Kubo, expressing a strong commitment to the potential transfer.

To entice Kubo to make the move to Old Trafford, Manchester United is reportedly prepared to offer the Asian winger a contract that significantly multiplies his current wages—potentially by ‘five or six’ times.

This move is seen as part of United’s strategy to part ways with Antony, a high-wage player who has not lived up to expectations.

While The Sun mentioned a valuation of 50 million euros for Kubo, Mundo Deportivo suggests that Sociedad’s president, Jokin Aperribay, would consider selling the prized asset only if the release clause of £52 million (60 million euros) in Kubo’s contract is activated.

In the ongoing campaign, Kubo has showcased his skills by netting six goals and providing four assists in 20 starts across various competitions for Txuri Urdin.

The 22-year-old winger, who made his senior debut for Japan in 2019, has garnered 29 appearances for his national team.

Considering this, do you believe Manchester United should proceed with a £52 million offer to secure the signing of Takefusa Kubo?
