Despite a difficult start to the season, Martinelli has established himself as an important player for Arsenal up front this season under Mikel Arteta.
The Brazilian is part of the young core Arteta has assembled at the Emirates Stadium as he continues to rebuild the club.
Cedric believes Martinelli is similar to Manchester United superstar Ronaldo in the manner he assaults space as he marauds forward into the final third with an eye for goal.
Martinelli, according to the defender, champions a determination to strive for game time on the field, which adds to his excellent work ethic.
“Gabi [Martinelli] has this goal-oriented mentality,” Cedric told the Evening Standard.
“Like Cristiano [Ronaldo], he likes to attack the space.”
He, like everyone else, enjoys scoring goals.
“However, Gabi is willing to fight.”
“Even when he isn’t playing, he continues to work in the same manner.”
“He’s a pleasant young man to converse with.”
“You chat, and you can see he listens.
“He’s talented, but his work style is wonderful.”
