LATEST – More bad news for Mason Greenwood in light of alleged rape and assault
Mason Greenwood, a Manchester United kid, has had a turbulent couple of days.
Over the weekend, disturbing photographs and audio were posted, indicating that the player raped and assaulted his girlfriend.
Greater Manchester Police then detained him, and he is still being held in custody, according to The Telegraph, as the force conducts more investigations.

The results of those inquiries will be known in due course, but in the meanwhile, a significant gap has been created between him and his sponsors.

Nike has legally discontinued their sponsorship, according to Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail, implying that regardless of the outcome of the police investigations, they will eventually withdraw from their association.
If the claims are proven, any further affiliations, such as those with Manchester United and the national team, are likely to be broken.
Clearly, there is a legal procedure that must be followed before any choices are taken.
