Man Utd are finally ready to make Cristiano Ronaldo’s dream signing of 80m rated World-Class Goal Machine

Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United back in November.

Last year, it was revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo wants Manchester United to sign a striker in order for him to perform at his best at Old Trafford. The veteran believed that playing up top was too much of a stretch as he neared the conclusion of his career, but Erik ten Hag chose to enhance other parts of his squad instead. Fast forward to now, and the Red Devils are looking to bolster their attack, with Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen among those on their radar.

Last season, Ronaldo starred for Manchester United, scoring 24 goals across all competitions during a chaotic campaign that began with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and ended with Ralf Rangnick.

Despite his own good form, the veteran felt dissatisfied.

Ronaldo was annoyed by United’s situation, as he later revealed in a surprise and contentious conversation with Piers Morgan.

And he persuaded the club to bring in another forward to complement himself, believing that the Red Devils would fare significantly better with his methods in place.

Ronaldo, on the other hand, was let down in the end.

The United legend quickly discovered that Ten Hag had other priorities, with the Dutchman willing to put his trust in the inconsistent but gifted Anthony Martial.

Tyrell Malacia was signed as a left-back, Tyrell Malacia as a centre-back, Antony as an attacker, and Martin Dubravka as a back-up goalkeeper.

They also strengthened their midfield, with Christian Eriksen and Casemiro joining from Brentford and Real Madrid, respectively, under different circumstances.

However, Ronaldo’s hopes of finding a new partner in crime were dashed when Ten Hag chose to remain silent.

But fast forward to present, and everything has altered following a positive, though turbulent, season thus far.

Despite Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s clear development in recent months, United still need a right-back.

Another midfielder is desired, with Frenkie de Jong and Jude Bellingham still under consideration after previously rejecting the club.

However, United’s main transfer goal is someone to lead the line and propel them to championships galore in the coming years.

There appear to be two focuses behind the scenes right now as the club seeks a world-class No. 9.

Kane is one of them, with the Tottenham striker’s long-term future at the club currently in doubt.

This season, the England international has been as consistent as ever, scoring 25 goals and providing four assists in 41 games across all competitions.

Spurs would love to preserve their symbol as they prepare to usher in yet another new era.

But, with Kane’s current contract set to expire in 2024, Tottenham must sell the 29-year-old now or risk losing him for nothing in a year.

Osimhen is another player who has fans at United.

The Nigeria international pondered joining the Red Devils in 2020, but turned it down out of respect for compatriot Odion Ighalo.

Osimhen has been a standout performer for Napoli this season, scoring 21 goals and contributing four assists in 23 Serie A games.

He’ll be expensive, with the Serie A champions-elect set to demand a large fee to let rid of their star.

But, given United’s evident need for a new striker, it’s possible they’ll end up paying whatever it takes to get their way.

Ronaldo requested that the club act 12 months ago.

However, United are now eager to make amends, and as the summer transfer window approaches, speculation about Osimhen and Kane will undoubtedly rise.
