If Gavi continues to reject new contracts, a move might happen next summer, and there will no doubt be lots of clubs interested in signing him on a free transfer.

Gavi has already established himself as an important player for Barcelona at the age of 18, and he is receiving interest from Premier League clubs.

Manchester United have joined Liverpool in the fight to sign Gavi, according to BILD (via the Daily Star).

Casemiro was signed this summer to provide Erik ten Hag with a strong defensive midfielder, but at 30 years old, he is only a temporary solution.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has acknowledged that Gavi and his agency had received a bid but have declined to sign a new contract.

“Gavi’s agency has had the new contract proposal on the table for a long time, but he has yet to agree,” Laporta told L’Esportiu.

Gavi holds all of the cards in this position, and if he wants to join clubs like Liverpool or Manchester United, he will be able to do so thanks to his contract.
