Ronaldo revealed to the Talk TV host that he had “no regard” for Erik ten Hag because the United coach has “no respect” for him. The 37-year-old went on to criticize Ralf Rangnick’s appointment last season, as well as Wayne Rooney, who has criticized Ronaldo for his behavior at the club.

Ronaldo argued that Rooney’s comments were undoubtedly motivated by professional envy because the Portuguese forward is still performing at a high level. In response to the interview and what comes next for his former teammate at Old Trafford, Ferdinand stated on Vibe with Five that Ronaldo’s situation at the club now appears untenable.

“If Manchester United are trying to grasp onto anything from the previous era, that’s one of the things they’ll count on,” the former center-back began. “As I previously stated, I played with players [Ruud] Van Nistelrooy, [Roy] Keane, [David] Beckham, and before I arrived, Jaap Stam, all of whom the manager booted out of the football club because he said they were players who thought they were bigger than the football club at the time, for various reasons.” All of them were causes we hadn’t seen before.

“Wazza has gone out and said a few things against him; he has every right to do so.” Cristiano took offense and addressed them in his interview, saying that as friends, you want to see it done behind closed doors.

“It is what it is, and I doubt they will send each other Christmas cards.” Wazza will be on another list, and there will be custard pies everywhere.

“I’m very clear about the situation, Cristiano Ronaldo: it’s over.” The romance with Manchester United is ended, the books have been closed, and I don’t see him playing again.

“One thing that happens, and Cristiano is well aware of it, is that if you insult the manager who is building the project, there’s no turning back, so he’s snookered the club and put them in a position where there’s no turning back, whether anyone wanted to keep Cristiano, they can’t now after what he’s said.”

“If the interview was two minutes long, not however lengthy the interview is, and he said there that he doesn’t respect the management regardless of anything else said, that will be the reason he leaves.” Although a portion of the interview has already been made public, the entire talk between Ronaldo and Morgan will appear in two sections on Talk TV on Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m.
