BREAKING – Premier League star arrested on suspicion of rape
SCOTLAND YARD stated on Monday that an unnamed player was arrested.
A Premier League footballer has been arrested on suspicion of rape, according to police. The player cannot be identified for legal reasons, but he is currently in detention and being questioned by officers.
Scotland Yard said in a statement that the individual was apprehended in the early hours of Monday morning. “On 4 July, an accusation of rape of a woman in her 20s was reported to police,” the Met Police said in a statement.
“It was reported that the alleged rape took place in June 2022.” On July 4, a 29-year-old male was detained on suspicion of rape at a residence in Barnet and put into jail, where he remains.”
The club in question has not responded to the allegations. It is unclear whether he will participate in their pre-season program.
