Neymar’s arrival at Manchester United is news.
Neymar is getting closer to leaving PSG this summer, according to a report from L’Equipe, as the Parisian club looks to upgrade its roster.

In August 2017, Neymar signed a contract for a transfer from Barcelona to PSG that set a world record and cost more than £200 million.

The Brazilian struggled to create an impression on the continental stage despite being sent to the French capital with the mission of bringing the Champions League to Parc des Princes.

With the exception of one final game during the Covid-affected 2019–20 season, Neymar and PSG have struggled in the Champions League, and there are rumors that the French team will be relieved to be rid of him.

As a result, speculation about a transfer to the Premier League, namely to Old Trafford, has begun to pick up steam. According to the French site, Neymar’s representatives have already spoken with United.

Reporter Sheth for Sky Sports, however, has refuted such assertions, saying that any rumors linking Neymar to Manchester United have only originated from the player himself.

What did Dharmesh Sheth say to United regarding Neymar?
Sheth made it obvious to GIVEMESPORT that Neymar’s camp was pressing for a move when asked about the most recent situation regarding Neymar and United.

Sheth commented on the prospect of Neymar joining United by saying, “You can see why the links would be there.

As PSG is headed in a different direction—possibly without Lionel Messi or Neymar—there is rising speculation that the club wants to get rid of Neymar.

“The Galacticos’ experiment hasn’t exactly been a success for them; although they have won league titles, they have yet to win the Champions League. It will be intriguing to watch where Neymar ends up, but as things are, I don’t believe United has Neymar’s best interests at heart. More specifically, Neymar’s camp is attempting to spark interest.

Would United benefit from acquiring Neymar?
Neymar’s contract with PSG is slated to expire in the summer of 2025, therefore his ability to leave France is still dependent on PSG’s approval.

Given their negotiating position, PSG is likely to seek a high price for the forward in the summer transfer market.

According to Transfermarkt, Neymar is currently valued at roughly £60 million, although it’s unlikely that he would be offered at such a low price.

Because of this, it’s unlikely that United would see any benefit in spending a lot of money on a player who is over 30 and has a history of injury difficulties.
