The Italian journalist claimed last week that the sporting director is coveted by several top European clubs following his good work at Arsenal over the past 18 months or so.

Edu is a wanted man, and although he may be tempted to leave the Emirates by the interest he is attracting, Mikel Arteta has publicly stated that he wants his main scout to remain at Arsenal for the foreseeable future.

ARTETA DESPERATE FOR EDU TO STAY

The Arsenal manager has spoken about the future of his manager.

“I hope he stays for a long time because I think he is going to be very positive for the club. Let’s hope that’s the case,” said Arteta.

HE IS SURE TO STAY

Edu is a wanted man, but it’s hard to imagine him leaving Arsenal any time soon.

The Gunners are building a long-term project, and the South American will certainly want to see this core group of players reach their peak years and win some trophies in the process.

Moreover, Edu is a former Arsenal player, with a strong loyalty to the north London club dating back to his playing days, and it is very difficult for him to be tempted to leave the Gunners at this stage.

Let’s not forget that Edu is still young in terms of management, and once this cycle at Arsenal is over, perhaps he can then explore his options, but for now, a departure from the Gunners does not necessarily make sense for Edu.
