Solskjaer favourite under immediate threat as Ralf Rangnick targets high-energy star as first Man Utd signing

Ralf Rangnick, the new manager of Manchester United, is said to have asked the Red Devils to make the signing of RB Leipzig’s Amadou Haidara the first transfer of their new era.

As they look forward to a bright new era, the Red Devils are ready to turn to the wise, old German sage. After an awful 4-1 loss to Watford last weekend, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign came to an end on Sunday. And it appears that Rangnick has been chosen as a replacement quite soon.

Rangnick was supposed to keep the hot seat warm until a permanent successor – most likely Mauricio Pochettino – was appointed.

Rangnick is prepared to make significant changes at United, and it will all begin on the practice field. According to reports, United is already working with Rangnick to undertake a number of reforms ahead of his appointment.

As a result, the Daily Telegraph believes that Rangnick has obtained access to tapes of Solskjaer’s training ground practices.

Rangnick intends to examine the material and compile an in-depth analysis of the present squad from several camera perspectives.

Major modifications to training are expected, according to the publication, including the introduction of his iconic countdown clock.

Rangnick’s ambitions hinge on Haidara.

Rangnick would use the highly visible ticker at Carrington training sessions, according to James Ducker, to encourage a high-intensity workout.

According to the report, United might sign him in January for £33 million.

The Bundesliga club is vulnerable to star player sales, and they are said to have set a low price on Haidara’s head.
