The 37-year-old has made a bold move to depart United, joining ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored’ to vent his rage at the club. During the 90-minute interview, he said the Glazer family ‘didn’t care about sporting achievement, admitting he ‘didn’t appreciate’ manager Erik ten Hag, and criticized the lack of ‘development’ after his departure in 2008.

On Monday, the club issued the following statement: “Manchester United takes note of the media coverage of Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview. The club will assess its response once all of the facts are known. Our focus remains on preparing for the second half of the season and maintaining the momentum, belief, and unity that the players, manager, staff, and supporters have built.”

And the Red Devils appear to have begun taking action against the Portugal international by removing him from view at Old Trafford. Ronaldo appeared in an Adidas poster promoting the new home kit, but workers were seen removing it from the stadium walls on Wednesday afternoon.

The first installment of Ronaldo’s full interview with Morgan will air tonight at 8 p.m., followed by the second installment tomorrow at the same time. Morgan has intimated that the United Greats has revealed much more than what has already been published, including his long-term adversary, Lionel Messi.

According to ESPN, the Carrington dressing room is growing increasingly sure that Ronaldo will not play for United again following the humiliating defeat. Ten Hag is believed to be dissatisfied with the veteran’s verbal assault and has notified co-owner Joel Glazer, chief executive Richard Arnold, and football director John Murtough that he wants him gone.

United’s moves on Wednesday will simply add fuel to the flames that are Ronaldo transfer rumors ahead of the January transfer window. It is widely assumed that he gave Morgan the interview in order to compel the club to sell him, and he will almost certainly achieve his way.

The wantaway No. 7 will be completely focused on cementing his legacy by leading Portugal to a World Cup triumph in Qatar, which begins this Sunday. However, the contents of his extended interview with Morgan on Talk TV could tarnish his legacy at Old Trafford even further.
