Haaland rejects Manchester City’s offer and approaches Spain
The English club has placed a large wager and does not rule out the possibility of increasing its offer, but the two parties have yet to reach an agreement. In the same manner that Haaland has always prioritized playing in Spain, he now favors playing in La Liga, which offers Barcelona and Madrid optimism.
Manchester City has been scouting Haaland for months after failing to sign Harry Kane last summer. The English team had the financial clout to cover the exit clause and commissions, but it offered a record salary that didn’t even come close to the club’s net value of $30 million.
This last sum is unacceptable to the player, who may submit a greater bid or choose a sports endeavor that appeals to him more, even if the fee is far lower.
Like the striker, Haaland’s environs want to make a decision by the end of April. He will undoubtedly leave Borussia Dortmund, and Real Madrid has been lobbying him hard in recent weeks, so he cannot rule out a bigger financial offer.
Barcelona has reached its financial constraints and expects that Haaland would join him in signing Blaugrana since he will have all the possibilities to oversee a sporting enterprise with a bright future.
