The dispute on Saturday almost resulted in a brawl between the two as Brazil prepared for a friendly against Japan on Monday.

The source of the brawl is unknown, however, the incident resulted in the Everton player seizing Vinicius by his training shirt.

Teammates such as Selecao captain Neymar and Newcastle target Lucas Paqueta soon intervened to separate the two.

But that seemed to enrage Richarlison even more as Neymar wrapped his hands around the Goodison Park favorite’s neck.

The participants were eventually escorted away from each other and went their separate ways.

This season, Richarlison has been entangled in a number of controversies, including a public spat with Sky Sports co-commentator and pundit Jamie Carragher last month following Everton’s successful Premier League survival effort.

“Wash your mouth before you comment about me and Everton and I don’t respect you,” the 25-year-old said on Twitter.

Following a number of confrontations in the recent Merseyside derby, Carragher claimed the Brazilian falls to the ground far too quickly.

The training-ground brawl will have been a blot on Vinicius’ otherwise perfect week, which included scoring the game-winning goal in the Champions League final.

The 21-year-old snuck in at the back post to score the game’s solitary goal in Paris, giving Real their 14th title.

He joined Real Madrid in 2018 for a record £38 million from Brazilian club Flamengo and, after a rocky start to life in the Spanish capital, found his feet, culminating in last week’s Champions League final heroics.

Brazil will meet Japan on Monday in Tokyo, looking to build on their 5-1 demolition of South Korea on Thursday.
