United were intended to launch a genuine Premier League title challenge this year after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last November, but they have fallen even further behind fierce rivals Man City and Liverpool.

United hasn’t won a trophy in five years, and the club is looking for a new permanent manager as they prepare for a key summer rebuild.

Fred, who is serving with Brazil on an international level, is fully aware that things haven’t been going well, but he is determined to turn things around.

“Unfortunately, it was a season that fell far short of our hopes and expectations.”

He announced this at a news conference. “There is still a lot of water ahead of us, so our primary goal right now is to qualify for the next Champions League.

“However, you must change the key when you arrive here; there is a new way of playing, a new style of play, and everything else must change.” You have to alter the key, stay focused on the team, and give it your all because you only have so much time here.

“I give it my all, and when I get back to United, I’ll think about it again and tweak the key, but for now, I’m focused on the national team.”
