The New coach will be selecting his new captain that will lead his squad.

The Red Devils’ top-four aspirations were shattered as Arsenal defeated Ralf Rangnick’s team 3-1. Rangnick said after the match that United had no chance of qualifying for the Champions League this season.

And it appears that Red Devils fans agree, as they have already switched their attention to Ten Hag’s impending arrival. According to a British Gambler poll, 2,000 supporters have decided on a captain and who they believe United should recruit.

United fans have rejected incumbent captain Harry Maguire for the armband next season, according to the poll.

Maguire won only 13% of the fans’ votes for the armband, with both Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo earning more. Ronaldo is the clear favorite to be given the armband, with 52% of fans wanting him to be named United’s new captain.

The 36-year-old has captained both Real Madrid and Juventus, as well as his country.

United supporters were also given the option to vote on who they would like to see at Old Trafford next season.

33% of fans want United to sign Antonio Rudiger, who will leave Chelsea at the end of his contract this summer. United’s defense was chastised over the weekend, particularly for the Gunners’ early goal less than five minutes into the game.

21% of supporters opted for Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips, while 17% thought United would sign Harry Kane in the summer. Youri Tielemans and wondered Jude Bellingham was also mentioned.
