According to La Repubblica, negotiations are nearing completion, and the Old Trafford club is getting closer to hiring the French international.

The 20-time English champions have been in “extensive negotiations” with Rabiot and his agent-mother, according to Corriere Torino (news image given below), and the transaction is close.

The interview with Erik ten Hag, according to the media site, washed away any misgivings the 27-year-old midfielder had regarding the idea at Old Trafford.

However, in order to compensate for the lack of Champions League action, the former PSG player has requested a greater wage than his present one.

The contract agreement is not yet complete, but clauses worth £163,000 per week are being worked out after United accepted a transfer fee of roughly 18 million euros.

Man United have so far strengthened their backline by acquiring Malacia and Martinez while improving their offense by enticing Eriksen.

Adrien Rabiot appears to be the one to arrive and aid in the central midfield, which has been an issue for years. Will he be a success at Manchester United? Time will only tell.
