According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Donny van de Beek’s destiny will be decided within the next several hours.

Since joining United for €39 million from Ajax in 2020, the Dutchman has never been able to lock down a regular spot in the first squad.

He recently reached his 50th appearance for the team, however, he has only played 1,836 minutes, averaging just 35.72 minutes per game.

This lowers to 579 minutes from 27 Premier League games, for an average of 21.4 minutes.

According to multiple sources, Manchester United has accepted loan proposals from both Crystal Palace and Everton, with Valencia also being linked with a move.

However, no Spanish interest appears to have emerged, leaving the two Premier League clubs neck and neck for the prized signing.

‘Donny van de Beek update,’ Romano tweeted. Everton and Manchester United have agreed to a straight loan deal that will pay the player’s full salary until June.

‘It’s now up to the player to choose between Crystal Palace and Everton.’

‘Van van Beek will choose his next club within the next several hours.’

Whatever team he joins, the news will come as a shock to manager Ralf Rangnick, who has openly indicated that he requested Van de Beek to stay at Old Trafford for the remainder of the season.

Fans are split on the issue, with some glad for the youngster that he will finally get a chance to prove himself in the Premier League and others concerned that the club would be short-handed in midfield.

With Anthony Martial and Amad Diallo already on loan, and Jesse Lingard and Phil Jones, the subject of much conjecture, United’s first-team squad is expected to be considerably reduced in the January window.
