Erik ten Hag reported to list out five major concerns before taking the Manchester United job
Erik ten Hag, manager of Ajax, is apparently concerned about taking over as manager of Manchester United after the Red Devils suffered another defeat this weekend.
The Red Devils, who are being led by interim manager Ralf Rangnick, were defeated 1-0 by relegation rivals Everton yesterday, and it was again another awful performance overall, with Frank Lampard’s struggling side deserving the win.
According to the Daily Mail, Ten Hag still has reservations about taking the Man United job, with the newspaper speculating that the future of aging players such as Cristiano Ronaldo may be a particular concern.
According to the Mail, Ten Hag has a distinct style of play at Ajax, and someone like Ronaldo would definitely not fit into his modern high-pressing method.
The Portugal international only returned to United last summer, and his second stint at Old Trafford has not gone well.
As things are, MUFC is unlikely to finish in the top four, and it may be for the best if Ronaldo departs to allow Ten Hag to make the major changes he desires at the club.
