Manchester United might add another “marquee striker” to Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund if he signs at Old Trafford, Daily Express columnist Ryan Taylor told GIVEMESPORT.

Erik Ten Hag’s Red Devils could add a world-class center-forward option this summer.

Rasmus Hojlund joins Manchester United on loan.
According to Italian media, Manchester United is interested in signing Hojlund from Atalanta during the forthcoming transfer window.

The Red Devils are considering making a bid of roughly £43 million to sign the Danish center-forward, as Ten Hag wants to bolster his frontline at Old Trafford.

Insider transfer Dean Jones recently told GIVEMESPORT that Manchester United “loves” Hojlund and that he would fit in well with the present squad.

Manchester United are interested in a number of high-profile strikers ahead of the summer transfer window, including Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.

And, even if Hojlund signs in the coming months, Taylor believes United will try to recruit another striker during the current transfer window.

What has Taylor said about Manchester United?

When asked if Hojlund might be a replacement for Kane at Old Trafford, Taylor told GIVEMESPORT: “Not to Kane, to be brutally honest.” If Hojlund came in, I would expect United to pursue another marquee striker.

“There aren’t many names out there, but Lautaro Martinez or Osimhen come to mind.”

“Again, I believe United will face similar issues with Osimhen as they did with Kane in that he will cost upwards of £90 million.” As a result, it will be challenging.

“Another possible candidate is Gonzalo Ramos. That seems like a better bet than Hojlund.”

Would Manchester United need to sign another striker in addition to Hojlund?
With the young striker finding his feet in Italian football, Hojlund would be a great addition to Manchester United.

In 42 games for Sturm Graz and Atalanta this season, the four-cap Denmark international has scored 16 goals and contributed seven assists.

However, given the 20-year-old’s relative inexperience in top-level football and his young age, United may opt for a more experienced player who has spent many seasons as a regular in one of Europe’s big five clubs.

England captain Kane, who has scored 30 Premier League goals in 38 appearances this season, maybe the ideal candidate to fill Ten Hag’s center-forward role, with no risk of being unable to adapt to life at Old Trafford.

As a result, it would make sense for United to pursue an elite striker option in addition to Hojlund’s young skill.
