Lampard Signs in a Hurry
Crystal Palace and Valencia were both interested in recruiting the unhappy player who has struggled to find his feet at Old Trafford under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick. Everton, on the other hand, has made a late move for Donny van de Beek, who has chosen Merseyside as his new home.

Everton will pay the players’ wages in full, but there will be no opportunity to acquire the player on a permanent transfer at the end of the loan spell.

Palace have begun talks with Van de Beek when Dennis Bergkamp informed Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira of his former Arsenal teammate’s availability. Bergkamp is Van van Beek’s partner’s father and spurred the Palace move, but they have now missed out, much to the chagrin of the London club.

United’s Peripheral Player
Van de Beek has been a part-timer at United since joining in the summer of 2020. Despite scoring on his debut for the club, he has never acquired the faith of the United managers under whom he has played for one reason or another.

The Dutchman has three and a half years left on his contract at Old Trafford, which is why no option to buy has been included, but the player is now hoping to set the Premier League alight in the closing months of the season and demonstrate what he can do when given the chance to shine.
