Following Manchester United’s 3-3 draw with Galatasaray, club legend Paul Scholes pointedly called out Bruno Fernandes, urging the captain to “take responsibility” for the disappointing result.

Despite holding a two-goal lead on two occasions during the match, United allowed Galatasaray to level the score 3-3, resulting in a challenging draw.

Former Chelsea player Hakim Ziyech capitalized on two free-kicks, one of which was conceded by Fernandes.

In a post-match interview, Fernandes acknowledged the team’s mistakes, stating, “It was another game where we could have closed the game.

We had too many chances, as I’ve said, and mistakes by ourselves. It’s too bad, to be honest.”

However, Scholes took a critical stance, emphasizing Fernandes’ role in the outcome. In the studio, Scholes expressed, “I know in his interview he is talking about mistakes, but he made two big mistakes tonight by giving two stupid fouls away that lead to two goals.

The full team, including himself as the captain, have to take responsibility – it’s a game they should win.”

Scholes further highlighted defensive issues within the team, emphasizing the challenge United faces in maintaining clean sheets.

The draw leaves United at the bottom of their group, requiring a win in their upcoming home matches against Bayern and Copenhagen, coupled with a draw between Galatasaray and Copenhagen, to progress in the Champions League.
