GOODNESS – Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag set for three huge injury boosts after international break

After the international break, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag wants to win more trophies at Old Trafford.

Manchester United looked tired in their 3-1 win over Fulham on Sunday.
Given that Erik ten Hag’s team has been playing every three days most weeks since the World Cup, that’s understandable.
The Red Devils, on the other hand, are poised to receive triple boost when Raphael Varane, Anthony Martial, and Christian Eriksen all return from injury in the near future.

Manchester United overcame Fulham on Sunday after the Cottagers took the lead via Aleksandar Mitrovic.
But, the Serbia international would go from hero to zero after being shown straight red card for assaulting referee Chris Kavanagh – Willian and Marco Silva were both shown the door.
United then came back to win, with Bruno Fernandes scoring twice and Marcel Sabitzer on target.

Nevertheless, given how drained Ten Hag and his players have been in recent weeks, the international break has come at the best time.

What is encouraging is the impending return of three players who could play significant roles following the strike.

Varane is one of them, with the France international missing the Fulham game due to injury, allowing Harry Maguire to make rare start.

Nevertheless, according to Ten Hag, the midfielder will be ready for selection again next month.

“Yeah, he will return sometime in April,” the 53-year-old said.

“He is doing quite well in his rehabilitation.

“We’ll have to wait and watch how things progress in the next weeks.”

Martial will also make welcome return.

Due to his chronic injury troubles, the France international has become somewhat of forgotten figure at the club this season.

“But think we had pretty tremendous run from Christmas on, think we play 25 games or such.

“I guess two loses and the rest draws, and especially lot of wins.
You can see the team’s progress.

“This team has strong character, strong belief, and great will to win games, and today was an illustration of that.

“When you have rough phase in game, stay in the game, battle back, and turn the game.

“I never plan so far ahead, am thinking about how to develop, get into the process, make sure you gain progress, and proceed from game to game.
We must win every game.”
