The 2022 UEFA Champions League has reached the semifinals, with Manchester City and Real Madrid facing off in the first leg, followed by Liverpool vs. Villarreal on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

The games will be televised live on CBS and Univision, and will also be available to stream on fuboTV, Paramount Plus, DirecTV Stream, Hulu + Live TV, and YouTube TV. Leg 1’s schedule is as follows.

Manchester City vs. Real Madrid, 4/26, 3 p.m. ET – Manchester City Stadium
Liverpool vs. Villarreal, 4/27, 3 p.m. ET – AFC Anfield
It’s a thrilling Champions League finale for both Spain and England, with an all-Spanish or all-English final on the table. To begin, the teams must complete both legs of the semifinals.

Manchester City advanced to the semifinals with a 1-0 aggregate score after holding Atletico Madrid to a 0-0 stalemate in the second leg. Their quarterfinal was the lowest scoring, and they’ll now face a Real Madrid club who upset Chelsea 5-4 on aggregate despite losing 3-2 in the second leg.

That, however, was not the greatest aggregate score in the quarterfinal round. Liverpool defeated Benfica 6-4 following a 3-3 tie in the first leg. They’ll face Villarreal, who beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in the previous round.

How do I watch the Champions League for free?

Cable subscribers can access a free live stream of the matches by logging in to CBS.com or Univision.com using their cable credentials.

Cord cutters can try out Paramount+, fuboTV, or YouTube TV for free.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

In the Champions League semifinals, England will face Spain.

In Europe’s elite championship, English teams Manchester City and Liverpool face Spanish teams Real Madrid and Villarreal, respectively.

Here’s a peek at the first legs that will take place this week:

TUESDAY:

REAL MADRID vs. MANCHESTER CITY

Madrid is attempting to reach the final for the first time in four seasons, while City is attempting to reach its second consecutive final and win its first Champions League championship. Madrid, a record 13-time winner, is coming off thrilling series wins against PSG in the last 16 and defending champion Chelsea in the semifinals. Man City is moving from one Madrid team to another after defeating Atlético Madrid in two hard-fought quarterfinal meetings. The second leg took its toll, particularly on defense, as Kyle Walker injured his ankle and is yet to return, and Joo Cancelo had another yellow card and is suspended. City manager Pep Guardiola will be without a specialist right defender for Tuesday’s home game due to John Stones’ hamstring injury. It’s a major problem because Madrid’s dangerman Vincius Jnior plays on the left and will almost certainly face an out-of-position defender. Due to muscular issues, Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is unsure whether he will be able to rely on midfielder Casemiro and defender David Alaba. Both players will make the trip to England.

WEDNESDAY:

VILLARREAL vs. LIVERPOOL

Juventus. Munich, Bayern. Could Liverpool be the next big-name casualty to be knocked out of the Champions League by Villarreal, a tiny Spanish club on a spectacular run in the knockout stage? Liverpool will most likely be the toughest test thus far, with the English club having only lost one game in all competitions since December 28 — the second leg of the last 16 against Inter Milan at Anfield. Unai Emery, the coach of Villarreal, is proven to be a fantastic thinker in European competitions. He led Sevilla to three Europa League victories before moving on to lead Villarreal to the same title last year. Now, Emery has taken Villarreal, which is currently seventh in the Spanish league, to the Champions League semifinals for the first time since the 2005-06 season, when it was defeated by English opposition in Arsenal. Liverpool has a considerably stronger pedigree in the league and is aiming for a seventh title, which would match AC Milan’s total. With 13, only Real Madrid has won more European Cups. Liverpool will face a number of players who did not make it big in the Premier League but are important members of the Villarreal club, including Juan Foyth, Etienne Capoue, Giovani Lo Celso, and Arnaut Danjuma. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has no big injury concerns, and Emery’s team should be fully fit.
