Mason Greenwood, a striker for Manchester United, has been suspended by the club.
This morning, the 20-year-old was accused of assaulting partner Harriet Dobson, who shared photographs of bruises and cuts on Instagram stories, as well as audio of Greenwood fighting with her.
“We are aware of photographs and claims circulating on social media,” United said in a brief statement. We shall refrain from making any additional comments until the facts are confirmed. Manchester United does not support any form of violence.”
The Red Devils’ stance has now been amended.
The club has recently declared that “Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice.”
Mason Greenwood has appeared in 83 Premier League games for the club, as well as one for England in 2020.
