Barcelona make decision on two signings after Aubameyang blitzes Real Madrid

According to rumors, Barcelona is willing to temper their interest in Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski due to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s outstanding form. Since joining the Catalan giants from Arsenal, the Gabonese international has scored eight goals in eight appearances. And he was unplayable in Real Madrid’s 4-0 loss at the Bernabeu on Sunday night.

Barcelona went into their encounter against Real Madrid hoping to continue their progress since the arrival of Xavi.

And they accomplished just that, with a thrilling display that effectively silenced the Bernabeu.

While both Ronald Araujo and Ferran Torres scored, Aubameyang was the standout performer on the field.

The Gabonese international scored twice on the day, demonstrating to former side Arsenal what they’re losing.

It means he’s now scored eight goals in as many games for Barcelona since joining on a free transfer in January.

And now, according to Sport, Barcelona is ready to rethink its transfer plans.

According to reports, Aubameyang’s ‘explosion’ has prompted the club to reconsider its priorities for next summer.

While they respect Erling Haaland, they believe he is an ‘unattainable yearning’ because of the financial implications of any potential agreement.

As a result, with Aubameyang working at the pinnacle of his abilities once more, Barcelona is ready to call it quits forever.

And, while the possibility of bringing in Robert Lewandowski has emerged due to uncertainties over his future at Bayern Munich, the Poland international is simply not considered necessary.

According to the publication, Barcelona does not regard Aubameyang as a global star in terms of image and marketing.

That, they believe, is ‘difficult’ for the former Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund striker to achieve at the age of 32.

Barcelona, on the other hand, is now willing to reconsider and back Aubameyang to propel them back to the top flight.

Xavi was asked to comment on his team’s spectacular performance against Real Madrid.

After the game, he praised Aubameyang, stating, “We played a very complete match, much better than Madrid, much superior.”

“The high pressure was extremely good, with Aubameyang and Pedri both contributing significantly.”

“We knew how to play against them; we created numerous opportunities, we knew how to attack them, and we played a fantastic game.”

“They attacked us in the last 20 minutes, but that’s to be expected when you’re 4 goals up.”

When asked if Barcelona is “back,” he replied, “Perhaps yeah, Barca is back, but I’ll leave it up to you.”

“This is the right game idea for Barcelona to compete; we have extremely talented technical players who didn’t comprehend the model well before, but now they do.”

“Run, work, and assist the team.” Solidarity.”

Meanwhile, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was disappointed with the result.

And he acknowledged blame for the failure, conceding that his team was not strong enough to win.

“It’s difficult because it’s a Clasico, for the fans when we play against Barca… it’s a blow, we’ve lost a battle, we still have an edge, and we have to be cool and get our injured players back,” he explained.

“We were unrecognizable; everything went wrong; we must forget and move forward.”

“We have a significant advantage [in La Liga].” “I, the coach, am to blame.”
