Deal very close – Man United keen to complete £30m deal to sign midfielder

Marcel Sabitzer is having a good time at Manchester United.

After Christian Eriksen suffered an injury that would keep him out for at least two months, the Austrian midfielder joined the Red Devils on loan from Bayern Munich in January.

Despite the fact that the midfielder’s signing is just a loan, according to a recent Football Insider story, the former RB Leipzig playmaker is ‘pushing’ for Manchester United to buy him permanently at the conclusion of the season.

Sabitzer, 29, has had a strong season since joining the club at the start of the year. The 29-year-old has started six Premier League games and appears to be a natural fit under Erik Ten Hag’s demanding style.

Sabitzer, who is valued between £25m and £30m by Bayern Munich, is apparently instructed his representation to strike an arrangement with Manchester United’s board, who is similarly anxious to make an agreement.

Ten Hag definitely enjoys the Austria international as well. Sabitzer, who is not only a strong squad player but is also available for a low amount, could prove to be one of Bayern Munich’s smartest buys in recent history.
