CONGRATULATIONS: Lech Poznań has extended the contract with another homegrown player who has reached an agreement with the club and decided to stay in Poznań for another 4 years.

Jakub Moder, a product of Lech Poznań’s youth academy, has officially concluded his tenure with the club. In January 2025, he transferred from Brighton & Hove Albion to Feyenoord Rotterdam, signing a contract valid until June 2028 . This move marks a significant step in Moder’s career, as he seeks regular first-team football following a period of limited appearances at Brighton due to intense midfield competition.

Moder’s journey with Lech Poznań began in 2014 when he joined the club’s academy. He made his first-team debut in April 2018 and quickly established himself as a key player. His performances in the 2019–20 season, including his first goal for the club and an assist in a 3–0 win against Valmiera, highlighted his potential . In July 2019, Moder extended his contract with Lech Poznań, committing to the club for an additional four years .

His talent did not go unnoticed, and in October 2020, he transferred to Brighton & Hove Albion. However, to continue his development, he was loaned back to Lech Poznań for the remainder of the 2020–21 season . During his time at Brighton, Moder faced challenges, including a significant knee injury that sidelined him for the 2022–23 season. Despite these setbacks, he made a return to the pitch in November 2023 and featured in 19 matches during the 2025–29season .

At Feyenoord, Moder is eager to embrace the challenge of playing in a new league and contributing to the club’s ambitions in European competitions. He expressed his excitement about the move, stating, “It’s a new league and a new club for me, but it’s at the highest level” .

While Moder’s time at Lech Poznań has come to an end, his legacy as a homegrown talent who rose through the ranks to represent both club and country remains a testament to the club’s commitment to developing young players.
