National Signing Day was on Wednesday and for Virginia Tech head football coach Brent Pry, he had himself a pretty good day. Recently, the Hokies have been getting good news in the transfer portal and picked up four huge additions for 2024.
As for the Class of 2024, Pry landed five Top 20 in-state recruits and they addressed some needs for the future in nearly all positions. Yes, the Hokies have a lot of talent that has committed to coming back next season and add in some promising recruits, things are looking very good in Blacksburg. Williams is a 6-foot-4, 195-pound linebacker that fills a huge need for the Hokies. The St. Vincent Pallotti High School standout from Laurel, Maryland is ranked 232nd nationally, 19th at his position, and ninth in the state of Maryland. He was the first signee of the morning for Virginia Tech.
It’s safe to say that the Hokies’ defensive line is getting a quick, but talented makeover and Johnson, a 6-foot-4, 235-pound interior lineman is ranked 451st nationally, 34th at his position, and sixth in Virginia, where he played at Frank W. Cox High School. He is an athletic lineman who can get to the quarterback and is a big addition within the state of Virginia.
