The Celtic FC Women’s squad made history by being the first team in the club’s history to win the SWPL title. Both Kelly Clark, the captain, and Elena Sadiku, the head coach, have expressed gratitude to the Celtic supporters for their support of the team during this historic season.
ELENA SADIKU: We are all ecstatic to have won the SWPL title, which is the club’s first league victory ever. This is a historic day for Celtic, the women’s squad, and women’s football in Scotland.
With so many obstacles to overcome throughout a season, winning a league title is the hardest thing in football. However, at the conclusion of the season, the team at the top of the table may legitimately claim to be the greatest in the nation, and Celtic is the best team in Scotland!
Everyone at the club has worked extremely hard to achieve this historic feat, and as it was a team effort, we can all celebrate and enjoy it. The players should be extremely pleased of what they have accomplished; they have been amazing since the day I joined Celtic.
