BREAKING – FA to investigate after Anthony Elanga hit by object during Man Utd win at Leeds
According to the Press Association, the governing body will investigate the incident that occurred as the visiting players celebrated Fred’s 70th-minute goal at Elland Road.
With a precise finish two minutes from time, Elanga sealed a 4-2 Premier League triumph for Ralf Rangnick’s team.
Police in Leeds and West Yorkshire have been approached for comment.
“As far as I know, there is some investigation going on from Leeds United,” interim manager Rangnick stated after the game.
“I don’t believe anything happened in the end.” Anthony Elanga appeared to be in good spirits after scoring his goal.
“Obviously, things like that should not happen, and I believe this game is even more so. The atmosphere was fantastic.
In situations like this, I believe it is critical to try to calm things down.”
Leeds rival Marcelo Bielsa claimed he did not witness the instances involving thrown objects, but he condemned such behavior.
“Any excess other than sporting excess should not be permitted,” he stated. “I can’t judge what you said because I didn’t witness it.”
